Privacy Policy

OpenInk helps people and tattoo artists turn ideas, reference photos, sketches, and placement notes into tattoo-ready design drafts. This policy explains how we handle data across the website and future iOS and Android apps.

1. Information we collect

We collect the information needed to run the studio: account email and authentication identifiers, prompts, style choices, body placement notes, uploaded reference images, generated tattoo designs, InkMuse conversations, InkCanvas files, support messages, and basic device or log data.

If you use a mobile app feature that asks for camera or photo library access, we use that permission only for the tattoo workflow you choose, such as uploading a reference, extracting a stencil, or previewing placement on skin.

  • Payment providers may share order status, plan, billing country, and receipt details with us. OpenInk does not store full card numbers.
  • Analytics and diagnostic data may include page views, feature usage, crash reports, device type, browser, app version, IP-derived region, and timestamps.

2. How we use data

We use data to create tattoo drafts, manage your account, keep credit balances and subscriptions accurate, protect the service from abuse, improve generation quality, answer support requests, and keep the product reliable.

Uploaded images and generated outputs are processed by trusted infrastructure and third-party AI service providers that help us deliver the requested tattoo design work. We expect those providers to protect data to at least the standard described in this policy and to use it only to support OpenInk. We do not sell your personal data.

  • Generated designs may stay private by default for paid plans or may be eligible for community review when the plan settings allow it.
  • We may review flagged content when needed for safety, policy enforcement, fraud prevention, or support.

3. Storage, retention, and deletion

We keep account, generation, upload, and order data for as long as needed to provide OpenInk, maintain your history, support refunds or disputes, protect security, and meet legal obligations.

When you request deletion, we remove or anonymize personal account data and generated assets that are no longer needed. Some purchase, security, tax, chargeback, and fraud-prevention records may be retained where required.

  • You can submit deletion after signing in on the account deletion page. If you cannot sign in, email hello@openink.ai from the account email.
  • Deletion requests are reviewed within 30 days unless we need extra time for identity checks, legal requirements, or active payment disputes.

4. Contact and rights

You can ask to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data by contacting hello@openink.ai. Please include the email address on your OpenInk account so we can verify and process the request.

If a local privacy law gives you additional rights, we will handle those requests according to that law and the information you provide for verification.
